Cynthia Dunlevy — Literary Magazine Mentor at The Antioch Review

I had the privilege of managing, supervising, and working with Ehron Ostendorf as an intern for the “Antioch Review.” During his internship, Ehron eagerly handled all assignments that included reading manuscripts, logging submissions, working with assistant editors, processing rejections, handling the generic email account, interacting with customers, authors, and others, and so much more. Ehron managed to handle all of the many and varied responsibilities with a heightened level of professionalism, thorough follow-through, and accuracy. Ehron’s insightful remarks regarding assigned readings (that included manuscripts and previously published pieces) added to the critical conversation of why the “Antioch Review” publishes what we publish. In this role, he meticulously read submissions and provided intelligent thoughtful responses about them, handling each story as if they were his own. Over the course of Ehron’s internship, he also contributed creative ideas for problem-solving. He was a delight to work with an interacted well with others. I would highly recommend Ehron to any prospective employer.
