Waves crash into me

Sweeping, twirling, splashing.

Waves pull my legs deeper into the sea

Kicking, flailing, lashing.

The water grasps my waist

Thrashing, writhing, jerking.

This depth claws my shoulders with haste

Screaming, bawling, shrieking.

My head is consumed

Sinking, drowning, dying…
